Inheritance

NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION:

• IDENTY CARD, RESIDENCE CARD or PASSPORT of HEIR/S. All of them must have NIF or NIE. If one of them is a COMPANY, deeds of appointment of administrator or proxy.
• DOCUMENTATION OF THE ASSETS BELONGING TO THE DECEASED:
  • MONEY and FINANCIAL PROPERTY: BANK CERTIFICATES are provided with the balances and positions at the date of death.
  • REAL ESTATE: Deed of ownership and/or Nota Simple. Last IBI receipt.
  • PARTICIPATIONS IN COMPANIES, VEHICLES and other MOVABLE PROPERTY: the title deed or deed of ownership; for vehicles, make, model; including their registration number.
• SUCCESSORY TITLE: This is the document in which it is determined who the heir is and in what proportion. It can be:
  A) TESTAMENT: The authorised copy is needed together with the death certificate and Last Will and Testament of the deceased.
  B) ACT OF DECLARATION OF HEIRS. When the person has died without a will. It is processed previously.
